Message From the Principal

I was amazed at how many 6th graders came back to Robinson for the annual alumni breakfast and to answer our 5th graders questions. Yesterday at the assembly it was fun seeing so many of our former students talk about their future plans.  I stumbled upon this excerpt the other day and it really connected with me:

We give you back your child, the same child you confidently entrusted to our care last fall.  We give them back pounds heavier, inches taller, months wiser, more responsible, and more mature then they were before.  Although they would have attained their growth in spite of us, it has been our pleasure and privilege to watch their personality unfold day by day.  We give them back reluctantly, for having spent nine months together in the narrow confines of Robinson we have grown close and we shall always retain a little of each other.
Ten years from now if we met on the street, a light will shine to our eyes, a smile to our face, and we shall feel the bond of understanding once more.
We have lived, loved, laughed, played, studied, learned, and enriched our lives together this year.  We wish it could go indefinitely, but give them back we must.  Take care of them, for they are precious.
Remember that we shall always be interested in your child and their destiny, wherever they go, whatever they do, whoever they become.  Their joys and sorrows we’ll always be happy to share.

We look forward to wishing our 5th graders well as they move to the middle school. They will be replaced by a brand new group of Kindergarteners.  The circle of life continues.  Have a restful and peaceful summer.  We will see you school next year.

Thanks for all your support,

John Jackson
