Message From the Principal

What a week!  Still lots happening at Robinson. This week we have the Fire Department coming on Wednesday, Oct. 18th for the home escape route winner contest. Join us at the flagpoles at 8:30 to welcome our surprise 2nd grade winner as she drives to school in the fire truck. Make-up pictures are tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 18th.  On Thursday, Oct. 19th we are participating in the Great California Shake Out Earthquake Drill.  If you are picking up your child on Thursday between the hours of 9:30 to 10:00, please drive into the parking lot on Francisco.  The office will be closed. Friday is our first spirit day.  Please have your child wear their favorite team jersey.

On Friday, October 20th, administrators from the district office and some of our other elementary schools will be checking out Robinson’s classrooms. During this visit, we will be looking at our personalized learning strategies, focusing on Knowing the Learner and Voice and Choice. The next time you are on campus swing by room 1B and check out the Kinder garden.  They have been working on planting some seeds and plants, and it looks great.

One more date! Don’t forget to join us on October 29th for the Sketchers Pier to Pier Walk.

I am so sorry I missed the Parent Party last Saturday.  I was sick and away from school Thursday and Friday, and still didn’t feel great on Saturday.  But people texted me pictures and short descriptions on what was happening.  It looked and sounded like everyone had a great time.  Thank you to all the volunteers who made this event a success.

Thanks for all your support,

John Jackson
